Wind
One of the biggest draws of kitespot Le Morne Lagoon is the wind which is reinforced around 5 knots by the Le Morne Brabant Mountain. The best months to visit are from April to mid-October, with wind speeds of 15-30 knots on average. June through August are the peak wind months, with days of 35 knots. During the other months, the wind speed drops to 10-20 knots, which is still enough to enjoy a good session.
The wind direction is primarily southeast, hence the name of South Easterly Trade Wind, with thermal winds blowing from December through March, which are not visible in the forecast, but happen because the air above water is a bit cooler than the heated land. This same period is also the rainiest period at Mauritius, with February being the wettest.

Water Conditions

Hazards

In addition to the launch area, school, and parking, there is also a food truck near the beach, so you can grab a bite to eat or refuel after a long session on the water. There are probably not many beach users to worry about, so you can enjoy the peace and solitude of this stunning location.
