Wind Conditions in Croatia

Croatia experiences a variety of wind patterns that make it suitable for kitesurfing throughout the year, however the best months are from June to September. The most common wind pattern in Croatia is the Bora wind, which blows from the northeast and can provide excellent kitesurfing conditions during the winter months. The Bora is known for its strong gusts that can reach up to 50 knots, making it a thrilling kitesurfing experience for experienced riders.

During the summer months, the Maestral wind is a prevalent wind pattern in Croatia. The Maestral is a northwesterly wind that blows from the sea and can provide reliable and consistent wind conditions for kitesurfing. The Maestral is generally milder than the Bora, with wind speeds ranging from 10 to 20 knots, making it suitable for riders of all levels.
