What to expect at kitespot Esposende?
In Portugal a 30 minute drive from Porto you’ll find kitespot Esposende with its sandy beach with small to medium waves.
In summer the wind is mostly coming from the NW. The locals call it “Nortada” and it’s a thermal wind. It picks up around 12pm and varies between 15-30 knots. The thermal effect increases when the difference between water temperature and land temperature is picking up.
Be aware of the wavebreaker at the left side of the beach and the surfers.
Park your car at the nearby parking lot, walk 2 min through the dunes and enjoy this spot.
