During the remaining months, the winds shift to an easterly or southeasterly direction (E or SE), with speeds between 10 and 14 knots. The best wind directions for kitesurfing here are E, ESE, SE, and SW.

Given the wind conditions, kite sizes suitable for Cabanas Island generally range from medium to large. For most of the year, a 12m kite will be ideal, for a 75kg rider. Also bring a 9m kite for stronger wind days.
