The wind in Tsimari is a kitesurfer's delight. The main kitesurfing season extends from July through August, but you can find decent wind conditions throughout the year. The usual wind speed ranges from 15 to 25 knots, with the most common being 15-20 knots. You can kite here with almost every winddirection, because of the sandbar. Only kite in or outside the lagoon with onshore wind!
Kitesizes
Given the typical wind speeds of 15-20 knots, a range of kitesizes would be suitable for Tsimari. For most days, kites in the range of 9m to 12m would be ideal, catering to both lighter and heavier riders depending on the wind conditions.

Driving is the easiest and most flexible way to get there, as public transport options are very limited in this region. For those coming from Athens, expect roughly a 3.5 to 4-hour drive via the Rio–Antirrio bridge.
