The best kitesurfing season in Denmark runs from March through May and September through November when the winds are most consistent and reliable. The summer months can also offer good conditions but with more variable winds.

Kite sizes typically range from 7m to 14m depending on the spot and wind conditions. For most Danish spots, a 9m to 12m kite setup is recommended for riders around 75kg. Wave spots like Klitmøller often require smaller kites (5m-9m) while lagoons like Ringkøbing Fjord work well with 9m-14m kites.
